Hello everyone!
Welcome to 2023 at Peepa's! And welcome to our new website! We just (January 11!) upgraded our website, which now includes a blog (and lots of other awesome stuff we will be rolling out!). YEY (I think). The internet people say the blog is good for business and driving new customers to our website, so we are going to listen to their recommendation and see how you all enjoy myself and my staff communicating via this blog.
So, I'll keep this first mostly just laying out whats going on at the store. First off, we had an incredible, and I mean incredible 2022. The amount of caftans and fabulous artwork we sold in 2022 makes us beam with pride that so many people love the Palm Springs vibe and want it in their lives! So thank you all for supporting our store. Supporting our staff. Supporting our artists and vendors and brands. It truly has such a massive impact when you choose to spend your money with small business. Its positive impact is far more reaching! So thank you all for your continued support, dedication and love. We are thankful everyday for each of you!
Let's get into whats going on at the store. Cause I am excited AF about it! ! !
On the regular we hear about how fabulous our store is. And we basically agree. But we are ready to take our store experience to the next level. We want to be the leaders of what a store experience can and should be. Not just from having unique, funky, interesting products, artists and designers. But from the physical store experience.
Starting January 12, we are beginning a phased remodel of the store!
The first thing you will notice is we are upgrading our Chris Burbach portrait gallery. It will have a totally new feel to it, and it will be much easier to shop. ..and no more nails in the wall! As this revamp is taking place, we will be adding in new floor to ceiling shelving on the interior of our window platforms. These gigantic shelving units will give us more square footage for coffee table books, art and home decor.
The second phase, which will happen alongside the revamp of Chris Burbach is a major revamp of our Palm Springs Life wall. This revamp will make shopping our PSLife posters much easier and allow us to expand our gift assortment from PSLife as well.
The third phase is pretty huge! We are eliminating our large fitting room. And our two other fitting rooms are getting floor to ceiling walls, new chandeliers, and new wallpaper and seating! The new fitting rooms are going to be so sexy! We can't wait for them to be done!
The fourth phase is custom cabinets throughout the apparel room! And we'll be adding the custom cabinets where the large fitting room is/was.
All of this is expected to be done in time for Modernism! Then come summer we will begin the second phase of our remodel!
With all this movement, we had to make sure we have room to be able to move products around. And the timing worked out pretty great, because we are going to launch our own men's private label this year. So guys, if you are wondering where all our mens product is, it's because we are developing our own label! We for sure haven't forgotten about you. We will still be carrying Parke & Ronen and Elia. We are working on bringing in some new men's brands as well! Keep your fingers crossed for us that we get some of the brands we are reaching out to!
